Translation quality of Figurative Language In the Song Lyrics “Shape of You” in Javanese Version “Syaitonmu”

Abstract

This research is descriptive qualitative study. The data analyzed are some written texts.The researcher uses “Shape of You” as the object of study because it has variants deepest meaningfull in its translation. The purposes of the research are to find out the figurative language and translation quality in the song lyrics entitled “Shape of You” into Indonesian and Javanese version.  The research employed purposive sampling technique. The data were the figurative language in song lyrics “Shape of You” into Indonesian and Javanese version. The other data were information obtained from the questionnaire distributed to the raters.
