The Importance of Character Education: Comparison of the Implementation of Character Education in Uganda and Indonesia

Abstract


The implementation of character education has become an important issue in the world since the impact of its implementation is significant. This study aimed at finding out the importance of the character education through observation of its implementation inUganda and Indonesia since both countries are categorized as developing countries. The data were taken through library research and interviewing the practicioners. The results showed that the implementation of character education has big impact on  the children development, attitude and behaviors.This study suggested that all of countries may apply the character education at all educational levels. The character education also should be integrated and stated in the curriculum.
