KARAKTERISTIK PETERNAK SAPI POTONG YANG MENGIKUTI SISTEM BAGI HASIL DENGAN PERGURUAN TINGGI (UNIVERSITASHASANUDDIN)

Abstract

The profit sharing system in the livestock business is part of the partnership pattern aimed at improving the welfare of the farmers. The purpose of this research is to know the characteristics of the beef cattle farmers who follow the profit sharing system with the universities of UNHAS that is with Maiwa Breeding Center (MBC) located in Enrekang district, South Sulawesi Province.Population is all breeders who follow the sharing system with MBC. The sample is a beef cattle rancher who has a profit sharing system with MBC and is located in Maiwa Subdistrict, Enrekang Regency amounting to 44 farmers. Research is descriptive. Data source is primary data and secondary data. Data type is qualitative data and quantitative data. The results showed that the age of the farmers who followed the system were in the productive age (95%), the majority of men (95%), the last level of education, most of them were junior high school (45.5%), the number of family dependents on the scale of 5-6 people 47.7%).
