Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the physiological conditions during the decomposition process in composting, made from raw beef cattle feces, using various doses of mixed culture. Physiological conditions include temperature, pH and C / N ratio. The study was conducted at UD. Beef Amanah Farm (beef and sheep fattening), Karanggintung Village, Sumbang District, Banyumas Regency, Central Java. Analysis of the C / N ratio was carried out at the Ungaran Agricultural Technology Assessment Center. The materials used are beef cattle feces; Albasia wood sawdust; ash; activator; and dolomite lime. The method used is experimental with a completely randomized design. Treatment of mixed culture doses was A0 0 %, A1 0.1%; A2 0.2%, A3 0.3% and A4 0.4%. Repeat for each treatment 4 times so that the number of experimental units was 20 units. The variables measured was physiological conditions, that were the kinetics of temperture and pH and the C / N ratio of compost produced. Observation of temperature and pH kinetics is done every day, to determine the weekly average, and C / N ratio is measured at the end of the decomposition process. Data were analyzed using Analysis of variance (ANOVA). The results of the weekly kinetics of temperature and pH are the best temperature, which is the highest in the first week in A2 treatment, which is 57,5°C. The most ideal C/N ratio according to SNI is 24,30 ± 2,56 achieved at level 0,2%.
