Abstract


The problem of overcapacity in Indonesia lately has become a very prominent issue, and if it is not handled correctly, it will cause the extinction of economically important fish species. Therefore, control of all parties is essential. To preserve the fish resources, the team encouraged the study. The research objective was to determine the variation of economically important fish species that are often caught, determine bioeconomics, determine fishing effort pressure, analyze capture fisheries that have the best performance, determine the optimum allocation of fisheries businesses that can operate in the Makassar Strait, assess capacity utilization caught it. The research methods used are the survey, interview and direct observation of each fishery business. Location of research in the field and the laboratory. Data analysis for bioeconomic studies with Mapple, Performance with terminated methods, excellent position of fisheries business with LINDO 6.1 and capacity utilit with DEA 2.1. Unique benefits; (1) the transfer of knowledge and expertise (specifically bioeconomic modeling, fisheries business pressure, linear goal programming, Data Envelopment Analysis from TPM to TPP), (2) the establishment of research collaboration between TPP and TPM, so as to increase the capacity of institutions and lecturers in TPP, (3) the publication in the National Reputable Scientific Journal
